WONDERFUL BALI          


Bali is one of the strongest islands on earth in terms of energy. It has all the ingredients to combine your journey with adventure, acquiring deeper knowledge of the culture, uses and spiritual energy. During this 17-day journey you will discover the three sister islands of Bali, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida. The journey continues from the south to the east along the coast of the north to the west ending in the heart of Bali.



Day 1 Sanur
After arrival in Bali the rest of the day is free to spend. Enjoy the beautiful white sandy beach of Sanur.

Day 2 Sanur, Tanah Lot
The day will be opened with a beautiful sound of the birds combined with the waves of the Sanur beach. Take in the afternoon the time to visit the beautiful Taman Ayun temple famous for the ancient architecture, followed by the magnificent sunset of the great Tanah Lot temple. The temple is built on the top of the rock. Try to be there at the full moon and feel the surrounding magical atmosphere.

Tanah Lot temple
Dedicated to the God of the Sea, the Tanah Lot temple belongs to the six most important temples of the island of Bali. The temple is closely associated with the holy priest Danghyang Nirartha, who once chose to stay at this place during his spiritual journey. This moved inhabitants to build the Tanah Lot temple at the same place. The story goes that there was once a bridge from the mainland to the temple, but that it was destroyed by the sea. Striking is the 'cave' where a magical source is present. From this source comes fresh sweet water, while the temple is located in the salty sea.



Day 3 Sanur - Nusa Lembongan
In the morning you sail from the port of Benoa to Nusa Lembongan. After checking into the hotel it is possible to explore the area of Nusa Lembongan by motorcycle or scooter. Visit an underground constructed house and a seaweed plantation. Enjoy the unique culture that Nusa Lembongan has to offer.

Day 4 Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Penida
Today a three islands tour is on the program. In the early morning you will travel by motorcycle to Nusa Ceningan Island. Through narrow roads and an impressive bridge that connects these two islands, the island of Nusa Ceningan is reached. After a short visit to this island, a boat leaves to Nusa Penida. Upon arrival at Nusa Penida it is possible to see the island on a motorbike. Be surprised by the Buginese culture that lives in harmony with the ancient Balinese culture, from the old mosque to the ancient temple. At the end of the day you travel back to Nusa Lembongan.

Day 5 Nusa Lembongan - Taro
You will be picked up early in the morning and brought towards the island, Bali, then the journey continues to the Ayung River for an adventurous experience. The Ayung River will be explored by rubber boat. This rafting will give a different view of the river and its surroundings. The different streams, the large stones that makes the river unpredictable and the daily life around the river that you leave behind while rafting. Followed to the Taro village to explore the jungle on the back of elephants. This really gives a powerful feeling, enjoy the jungle and the soothing energy of the elephant.  Here is the opportunity to visit the old Mother Earth Temple "Pura Dalem Taro". The evening ends with a romantic dinner in the company of elephants.

Day 6 Taro - Padangbai
Today there will be a special meeting can be arrange with a sort of Balinese medicine man. He is blessed by Hyang Widhi (God of the Hindu faith), with an ability to predict the future simply by palm reading. He can also read ancient Balinese letters written on Lontar Palm. Then the journey continues towards Padangbai, with a short stop at "Goa Lawah", a sacred bat cave. The rest of the day is free, enjoy the beautiful white sandy beach of Padangbai.

Day 7 Padangbai - Amed
In the morning there is the opportunity to visit the bustling traditional market. Then you travel to the village of Tenganan and Candidasa Lagoon. Once in Amed, a wonderful tracking to the Lempuyang temple is waiting. This temple is very sacred and lies on top of the hill Belibis. It is one of the six largest temples in Bali. Be enriched during this trek.

Day 8 Amed - Sudaji
From Amed to Sudaji, through the eastern part of Bali the journey continues to the west. Along the way you pass volcanic ash from the eruption of Gunung Agung. Then a stop at the Meduwe Karang temple is made. This is a very impressive temple. On the side of the temple stands a cyclist, perhaps the Dutch artist W.O.J. Nieuwenkamp who explored Bali in 1904 by bike. Then continue to Sudaji village for a visit to the historical temple of Jagaraga.

Day 9 Sudaji - Lovina
In the early morning a trekking takes place to Sekumpul, a waterfall of seven layers. Discover the hidden paradise of this magical site. A good condition is required. Receive the great energy that this site offers to you. Then the journey continues to Lovina, via Singaraja, passing the old houses with the colonial style and the Dutch bridge that connects the centre of the city. There is also a time to visit Gedong Kirtya, home of the legendary lontar palm script.

Lontar Palm
More than two thousand years ago the peoples of Southeast Asia wrote on tree bark and prepared palm leaves. Suitable for this is the lontar palm. Especially in Bali, where for many centuries, an isolated Hindu community lived with a highly developed culture, lontar books form a goldmine of historical information. These books of lontar palm leaves have multiple functions, such as the healing of certain diseases and the telling of mantras or magic words, which is believed that they have their own strength to repair and maintain the harmonious balanced relationship between man, God and the environment. The Balinese find this balance and harmonious relationship between these three factors the most important in their daily activities.



Day 10 Lovina - Pemuteran
In the early morning you will get an opportunity to go on the sea with a traditional boat to enjoy the wild dolphins. These are only found in Lovina. Experience the wild dolphins with a beautiful sunrise and the northern mountains of Bali as a background. Then the journey goes on to Banjar. This is a hot spring where you can take a healthy bath. If desired, it is possible to meditate in the Buddhist temple. From Lovina the adventure continues further to the west. On the way, a visit to the temple Melanting is made, with a special view from the hills on the valleys of Pemuteran. During this walk you will be accompanied by several small monkeys that can be found here. Then via Pulaki temple, the beach of Pemuteran can be reached where great snorkelling is possible and a beautiful sunset occurs.

Day 11 Pemuteran
In the morning, a traditional boat to Menjangan Island departs. On these uninhabited islands, beautiful Hindu temples can be found and with luck you will see some deer which the island is rich. There is an opportunity to go snorkelling or make walks around the island. In the afternoon the boat sails back and it is possible to take a treatment in one of the hot sulphur baths that work beneficial and bring new energy to the body.

Day 12 Pemuteran - Negara
First, the water reservoir in Palasari will be visited today. Then follows the beautiful city of Negara and the Rambut Siwi Temple in Pekutatan.

Rambit Siwi Temple
This complex exists of 7 temples, it lies on a low cliff overlooking a breath taking panorama of rice fields on one side and the black sand beaches on the other side. Two caves overlook the sea, each with views of the fishing boats and seabirds hovering above. The temple itself was built by Dang Hyang Nirartha, also the founder of the Tanah Lot temple. After arriving in Bali in 1573, he arrived in the courts of King Dalem Baturenggong. Bali had been hit with many plagues in the years before, and Nirartha presented the King with a hair from his head, stating that this would remove the sufferings. This hair was placed in a temple which became a prominent Shaivite pilgrimage spot in Bali. This explains the name Rambut Siwi, which literally means “Hair Worship”.



Day 13 Negara - Munduk
Today a journey follows from Negara to Munduk, to the heart of Bali. Here several great sites can be found. First, a visit to the Munduk waterfall is made. To get to the waterfall you have to walk down a pretty steep path. It is a beautiful route along the bushy slope. With a little luck you will also see how they harvest and dry clove. Then a visit to the Botanical Garden to relax.

Eka Karya Botanical Garden
The Botanic Garden is like a palace with the sky as roof and many different rooms, secret chambers, galleries and staircases. The visitor wanders through changing vistas and experiences, encouraged to trespass into Nature. This is the message of our Garden.” This Eka Karya Botanical Garden is one of the most important tropical gardens of Indonesia, rich in a diverse collection of rare trees.



Day 14 Munduk - Ubud
After breakfast the journey goes on to Ubud. Along the way you pass Pacung with beautiful rice fields and a stop is made at the sacred village Payangan. Enjoy the serenity of this village before you reach Ubud for overnight.

Day 15 Ubud
Ubud has a beautiful nature reserve and traditional villages. Pay a visit to the market or to the various artists performing various dance performances at the palace. Fill this day in as desired.

Day 16 Ubud - Nusa Dua
Through the lively Kuta Beach, the route continues to the quiet beach of Nusa Dua. A perfect opportunity to rest from this wonderful adventure and to enjoy this relaxing moment.

Day 17 Nusa Dua
This is the end of the journey through Bali. You will be brought to the airport for your next destination.
