Day 1 Maumere
After arrival in Maumere there is a transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend to get acquainted with the area.
Day 2 / 3 Maumere
These days are leisure. Go to the beach or visit the famous Kelimutu Mountain. The volcano contains three striking summit crater lakes of varying colors. Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of Old People) is usually blue and is the westernmost of the three lakes. The other two lakes, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Young Men and Maidens) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake) are separated by a shared crater wall and are typically green or red respectively.
Day 4 Maumere
The ship will depart during the afternoon and you will be taken on an overnight ferry to one of the most remarkable sights in Eastern Indonesia. It will be the first sunset and dinner at sea.
Day 5 Maumere - Kumba
When the morning wakes you, the ship has arrived at the island of Kumba, a smouldering volcano in the middle of the Flores Sea. If conditions permit, you can go ashore on one of the pebble beaches and perhaps there is even an opportunity to go snorkelling. Later in the morning the ship departs to the Island Lembata.
Day 6 Kumba - Lembata
At the break of dawn the journey arrives at the south coast of Lembata. Here a visit can be made to the traditional whaling village Lamalerap. On the beach you can see how the whalers prepare their small sailboats. In the afternoon the ship will sail to the Alor archipelago.
Day 7 Lembata - Alor
After breakfast a visit will be made to the beautiful island of Alor. You head for the city of Kalabahi and through the rugged landscape the village Takpala is crossed to gain insight into the specific character of the island. Witness a number of traditional dances in the "Mesbah", the ritual centre of the village. In the evening the boat sails further east and during the night the imaginary "border" between the Lesser Sunda Islands and the Moluccas is crossed.
Day 8 Alor - Wetar - Reong
It is during noon that the west coast of the island Wetar is reached. It is the largest island of Southeast Moluccas, still populated by the residents of the untouched wilderness. You will anchor outside the small island Reong and go ashore on the main island for a walk to the hot springs.
Day 9 Reong - Moapora
In the morning it is possible to go snorkelling on the deserted beach of Moapora. In the afternoon you will meet the residents of the main island followed by a trip from east to west along the orange and coconut groves.
Day 10 Moapora - Damar
From Moapora the journey heads for Damar to a small bay on the eastern coast of the island. You will have the opportunity to explore the village Beber. The main food of the population is sweet potatoes, bananas and fish. A tour will be made around the volcano to the beach on the north coast.
Day 11 Damar - Teun, Nila and Serua
Today you get the chance to visit one of three different volcanic islands: Teun, Nila and Serua. These islands are literally some of the most remote islands in the archipelago. If time permits a short stop will be made at Serua to go ashore at the village Jerili.
Day 12 Serua - Manuk
The ship will reach the small uninhabited island Manuk. On this island you can see birds if the tide permits. If this is not the case, then you can look at the birds from the ship. In the afternoon the boat sails further to the amazing and stunning Spice Islands.
Day 13 Manuk - Banda
At the break of dawn, the Banda Archipelago is reached, famous for its natural beauty and its cultural heritage from the time of the European colonizers. The ship anchors on the waterfront at Bandanaira, the only (small) city of Banda. It is possible to stroll through the city, visit old fortresses and admire the planters' houses. There is dinner on board and the evening is spend in the quiet lagoon.
Day 14 Banda
A leisure morning at Banda. There is an opportunity to visit some of the other islands of the archipelago such as Ai, Revenge and Hatta. In the afternoon a visit is made to the see the remains of the old plantations, churches and cemeteries.
Day 15 Banda - Ambon
After breakfast the first part of this day is free to spend. Experience ceremonies or visit the island of Run. During the afternoon the crew hoist the anchor and departs to Ambon.
Day 16 Ambon
In the early morning the ship will arrive at Tulehu harbour on the island of Ambon. The rest of the day is free to spend.
Day 17 Ambon
The final day is at Natsepa beach which is the most popular beach of the Moluccas. It is renowned for its unspoilt landscape, small waves and relaxed atmosphere. It is a small sandy beach with clear blue water and there is a road along the beach with various stalls selling local delicacies are sold. A culinary highlight is Rujak. A kind of fruit salad with a tasty sauce that is prepared on the spot for people. Followed by a transfer to the airport, the end of this wonderful journey.
