Day 1 Semarang
After arrival in Semarang there is a transfer to the hotel, the rest of the day is for leisure. It is possible to explore the city on your own. For example a visit to the Lawang Sewu (an old Dutch-Indian headquarter for railways), Toko Oen or a walk through the small streets of the centre of Semarang.
Day 2 Semarang - Bandungan
Today a visit is made to the Gedong Songo, a small group of beautiful temples, with a magnificent view on the valley, from the Ungaran Mountain which is 1893 m high. The highest temple is 1308 meters above sea level. The “Gedong Songo” which literally means 9 buildings, are Hindu temples dating from the period 730-780 AD. You can visit the temples on a horse or by foot. Appreciate and feel Gedong Songo’s spiritual harmony.
Day 3 Bandungan - Wonosobo
In the early morning the journey continues towards Dieng Plateau, perched at 2000m above sea level. With a little luck you’ll experience the beautiful sunrise, set against the Sindoro Mountain. But even without the sun, the view will look great. The trip then proceeds to the active crater of Dieng and then to the Dieng temple in the middle of the valley. Here it is possible to go for a short stroll around the impressive Hindu temple. At the end of the afternoon “Telaga Warna” is reached. Many pilgrims come to meditate in the mysterious and soothing environment here.
Day 4 Wonosobo - Yogyakarta
After breakfast you will travel on to Yogyakarta. A short stop is made at the Losari coffee plantation. On request it is possible to get a guided tour through the plantation. There is an opportunity to try the famous Losari hammam while enjoying delicious home roasted coffee, and enjoy the culinary specialties of Losari (optional). After arrival in Yogyakarta, the world famous Borobudur is visited to see the sunset from the temple. This will provide a breath taking scene with the still active Merapi volcano as background. The colours of the Borobudur temple will change from gold-yellow to dark-grey after the closing of the light beams of the sun. Feel the serenity that this beautiful world heritage radiates. At the end of the day you can go shopping in the well-known Malioboro Street in Yogya with its countless souvenir shops. Or you can enjoy all the culinary that Yogya has to offer.

Day 5 Yogyakarta
Departure is in the early morning southwards towards Parangtritis to go on a wonderful walk along the beach. With a little luck you can attend a traditional ceremony in honour of the Queen of the South Sea. Then a visit is made to Candi Ratu Boko, where you will see the long-hidden remains of the Palace Complex, which was built in the 8th century. With a blend of Hindu and Buddhist architecture it is a truly magnificent building. Then the journey continues to the sacred Barong Candi, which has stunning views over the valley of Yogyakarta. At the end of the day the famous Prambanan temple is visited. This was built in the glorious times of the Mataram kingdom in the 9th century and symbolizes the cycle of life and death. There is also an opportunity to visit various temples at your own pace. In the vicinity there are lots of more temples, including the beautiful: Candi and Candi Sewu Plaosan, having approximately 25 various Buddha images with different emotions.
Day 6 Yogyakarta - Solo
Today is the time to explore the royal riches of Yogyakarta by ritjak (cycle cab), bicycle or taxi. Visit the Kraton, the royal palace of Yogyakarta where you can admire the traditional Javanese palace architecture. The palace was built in 1756 and is still the residence of the remaining Sultan. It houses markets, offices, schools, museums and mosques, and is in fact a city in the city. Then a visit is made to the Taman Sari, which used to be called the bath palace or bathhouse of the Sultan (King). Followed by Kota Gede, the silversmiths who used to live here still present their art today. It is also possible to go to fort Vredeburg where you can relax by strolling along the gallery. In the midday the route continues to Solo in the direction of Candi Sukuh. Here is a lot to learn about the essence of life where the human (yourself) is centred and family acts as an important balance. On several engraved stones ancient messages are carved. From here on the road goes to Candi Ceto, situated at an altitude of five hundred meters or 1630 feet above sea level. Along the way tea plantations are passed with breath taking views. The last temple today gives enough energy to regain breath.
Day 7 Solo
Time to leave the heart of Java. You can still visit the city of Solo. This is possible in a unique way, namely by train, which takes you to various points of interest. Also make sure to stop at Pasar Klewer known for the beautiful batik and Pasar Triwindu with antique Javanese articles. You will be brought to the airport for your next destination. End of a wonderful journey where you could fully admire the world heritage in Central Java.
