Today you can still see the traditional boats (Penisi) from South Sulawesi, which sail with non-perishable goods such as cement. Loading and unloading is done manually, and sometimes it is very busy with day labourers who carry huge loads on their backs from the boats. Kampong Pasar Ikan is a neighbourhood that will startle many, it is a neighbourhood where the poorest of Jakarta live. |
