Day 1 Jakarta - Bogor
Arrival in Jakarta followed by a transfer to Bogor to visit the beautiful gardens of Kebun Raya Bogor, also known as Buitenzorg. Buitenzorg was one of the residences of the Governor General in the Dutch East Indies. In 1817 it was decided by Dr. Caspar Georg Carl Reinwardt to create a great botanical garden that even today can still be admired with many and unique tropical plants. This beautiful garden invites you to enjoy this first day in Indonesia.
Day 2 Bogor - Pelabuhan Ratu
After breakfast the traditional village Sindangbarang will be visited, with unique architecture and the use of many natural products. Then after a short walk the journey continues to a fishing village Pelabuhan Ratu (Port of the Queen) which according to legend, is home to the Goddess of the South Sea. The Goddess favourite colour is green; therefore the villagers absolutely wear no green with respect. Stay in one of the oldest and most beautiful hotels that the first President of Indonesia, Soekarno, has built. This hotel has a room specially equipped for the Goddess that can be visit with respect to the Goddess. A walk along the beach during sunset is a must and one realizes the reason why Sukarno has fallen in love with this piece of Java.
Day 3 Pelabuhan Ratu - Bandung
A wonderful trip in the early morning is made where several traditional villages are passed, along a hilly road surrounded by tea plantations. Then from the foot of Gunung Padang it will take approximately 400 steps to reach about 885 meters above sea level; entering the ancient pyramid of Java, built around 1500 BC. This magical heritage facing the powerful Gede Mountain and was built on 3 hectares land that brings a mysterious feeling. This megalithic sanctuary surrounded by 7 clear spring’s water with a healing effect offers a purifying feeling. It is recommended in the immediate area to make contact with the earth by walking without shoes so you can feel the warm energy from the beautiful "Cempaka" tree. Experience the love of our ancestors who built this beautiful sanctuary symbolizing love and harmony between heaven and earth. The journey continues to Bandung for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Bandung, Tangkuban Perahu
The next morning, after breakfast, a trekking is made in the mountains of Tangkuban Perahu. Take a walk to the valley and deep into the jungle. Special highlight are the three craters of the Tangkuban Perahu: Baru or the new crater, the Upas crater and the special power of the Ratu crater. Allow enough time to feel the energy from these craters and use this power to recharge. The sounds from Ratu crater are very impressive. At the Domas crater it is possible to clean from negative energy in one of the hot springs. While bathing it is even possible to cook eggs in one of the sources. Then the travel continues to Curug Cimahi where a beautiful waterfall can be admired. With a height of approximately 75 meters it seems like pure pearls fall down. Back at the hotel, it is advisable to simply relax or pamper yourself with a lovely spa.
Day 5 Bandung - Garut
After having had a good rest, Garut is today’s destination. En route a visit is made to Kawah Putih, a crater of the volcano Patuha at about 2434 meters altitude. This unique crater forms a white lake and is the highest lake on the island. Arriving in Garut, the night will be spend in a quiet place where it is possible to take a bath in one of the hot springs with the beautiful Guntur volcano as background. Enjoy the tranquillity and panoramic views this residence offers.
Day 6 Garut - Batu Karas
Today is a beautiful day to explore the Kampong. Kampong means the traditional village or a place where people formerly came from. Often you hear the word "Pulang Kampung", it means back to the village where they come from. The day starts with Kampung Pulo where the Candi Cangkuang can be admired, built in the 8th century. Candi Cangkuang is a Hindu sanctuary, located in the middle of a lake and covered by pine forest. The next destination is Kampung Naga. The residents of Kampung Naga still live like their ancestors, in a traditional way without electricity and running water. A fairly steep path will bring you to magnificent views around the village. Late in the evening arrive at Batu Karas for an overnight stay.
Day 7 Batu Karas, Green Canyon
The morning greets you with a nice walk along the beach of Batu Karas, a paradise for surfers. Followed by a visit to the Green Canyon for an adventure to the treasures of Mother Nature. Discover the secrets of this unique sacred site of Java. By traditional boat you sail deep into the jungle on the gently flowing emerald green river. Reaching the deep caves one can swim in the clear water. The rest of the day is for leisure.
Day 8 Batu Karas - Kuningan
On the way to Kuningan there is an opportunity to visit the Penanjung Pangandaran nature reserve. It is just steps away, situated on a peninsula with a close connection to the mainland. This reserve has a number of nature trails, tranquil white beaches and has special flora, in particular the rare Rafflesia. After a relaxing stroll, continue to the Darma Lake and the traditional village Cigugur will be visited, known for its handmade authentic Batik motifs. In Kuningan, under the foot of Ciremai Mountain with an altitude of 3078 m the night will be spend.
Day 9 Kuningan - Jakarta
After breakfast leaving from the port of Kuningan to Cirebon for visiting the three palaces, the Sultan of Kasepuhan, the Sultan of Kanoman and Panembahan of Kaprabonan. Admire the beautiful architecture of the buildings. Afterwards there is an opportunity to spend the day in Cirebon and wondering the traditional batik painting at the traditional Trusmi Batik market. Late in the afternoon the return trip to Jakarta is made by train. Enjoy the train trip; once arrived In Jakarta you are picked up for overnight.
Day 10 Jakarta
The day in Jakarta is spend with a visit to the National Museum of Indonesia, the Museum Gajah. View the collection of this museum and then continue to Batavia Square where various Dutch heritages can be visited. Moreover, a walk to the old port of Sunda Kelapa is worthwhile where the traditional Phinisi boats of Indonesia can be found. Sunda Kelapa (Sundanese for coconut of Sunda), later named Jayakarta, was the original location where Jakarta was established. Feel the energy of the environment and the great creators of the mighty ships. Followed by a transfer to a next destination. End of this journey.
