An adventurous 10-day journey deep through the body of the highlands of Papua. As highlight you will come face to face with the Carstensz Pyramids, the roof of Papua. Day 1 Timika
After arrival in Timika, you will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel. An information day will be held where you will get to know everything about your trekking. Information is also provided about the Carstensz Pyramids "Puncak Jaya" in case you want to combine the trek. The rest of the day is to explore the island and enjoy the area.

Day 2 Timika - Ugimba
From Timika a flight departs in the direction of Ugimba (2175 m). From here the journey goes to the base camp with an opportunity to take a rest and get used to the altitude. By the evening, lovely walks in the village can be made to meet the friendly locals. Feel the energy and fun of the local people. You will be welcomed from the heart by the people, with their simple and beautiful smile.

Day 3 Ugimba - Kemandoga
This day is dominated by a long trek through beautiful valleys with impressive views of the mountains. Enjoy the beautiful scenery en route. It will certainly be a unique experience that takes much courage.

Day 4 Kemandoga - Puncak Jaya
In the early morning the trek continues, taking the whole day. The destination is the base camp under the foot of Puncak Jaya. From here you can see "Carstensz Pyramids, Sukarno Peak (Ngga Pulu Top - 4650m) and Sudirman Top (4500m)" in the distance. Enjoy the panoramic views and feel the energy that Puncak Jaya will provide. It will feel like a gift from the earth after a long, hard trek.

Day 5 / 6 Puncak Jaya
Even though you already have experienced some great treks now, the real adventure begins today, to climb Puncak Jaya. This adventure is only allowed for skilled mountaineers / trekkers. For 7-10 hours per day you climb the Carstensz Pyramids with overnight in different base camps. You are at the only place in Indonesia where it always snows. This will be a wonderful adventure you have never experienced before.

The Puncak Jaya is a mountain in Papua. The mountain is 4884 meters high and is located on the border of the Sudirman Mountains and the westernmost part of the Maoke Mountains. It is the highest peak of Oceania and it is listed on the list of so-called "Seven Peaks". The Puncak Jaya is listed as part of Oceania. But because they are on the western part of New Guinea, there is debate whether the mountain is part of Asia. In 1962 the Austrian climber Heinrich Harrer (known from Seven Years in Tibet) was the first Westerner that reached the peak.

Day 7 Puncak Jaya - Kemandoga
After reaching the peak of Puncak Jaya, the journey will return towards Kemandoga. On the way back you can enjoy magnificent views over the valleys of Papua. Upon arrival in Kemandoga there is an opportunity to regain energy and recharge of an exhausting but very rewarding experience.

Day 8 Kemandoga - Ugimba
Time to leave Kemandoga. You go back via several villages to Ugimba. A trek through beautiful valleys with magnificent views is waiting for you. Enjoy the Mother Nature on the way.

Day 9 Ugimba
Leisure day in Ugimba. Explore Ugimba at your own pace. Attend one of the special ceremonies. Discover Ugimba.

Day 10 Ugimba
End of your unforgettable adventure Papua. You will be transferred to the harbour or the airport for your next destination.
