A 7-day journey to the heart of Sulawesi. Discover the hills and the beautiful rice fields of Sulawesi. Over narrow mountain roads you swing through a varied landscape. You sail over impressive lakes and visit traditional villages where it seems like time stood still. The extraordinary culture, beautiful scenery, and friendly people in the heart of Sulawesi provide a unique journey. A journey that is definitely recommended.

Day 1 Makassar - Tana Toraja
Arrival at the airport of Makassar. On the way a visit is made to Bantimurung. This beautiful park is a paradise for nature lovers. After a walk you will arrive at a beautiful waterfall. Then the road follows through the nice landscape of South Sulawesi to Torajaland. Enjoy the scenery and feel the energy that Sulawesi has to offer. At the end you are transferred to the hotel.

Torajaland is one of the most unique areas in the world. The Toraja, with their unique traditions and rituals, live in beautiful Tongkonan's. During the death ceremonies, the Toraja go crazy and make a funeral, a great spectacle. The rough area consists of rugged mountains and beautiful landscapes, which are decorated with green rice fields and church towers.

Day 2 Tana Toraja
Today you will explore Tana Toraja. A visit is made to Kete Kesu. Here you can find Tongkonan's, these are beautiful traditional houses. Afterwards Londa is explored where a visit is brought to a dark cave. Then the journey goes to the Suaya, to will discover the secret of the baby trees.

Day 3 Tana Toraja - Pendolo
In the early morning you will have breakfast and then leave for Pendolo, a small village on the southern shore of Lake Poso. Along the way the surroundings can be enjoyed. After arrival in Pendolo there is a transfer to the hotel and then you can admire Lake Poso. Lake Poso is one of the deepest lakes of Sulawesi. Meet the Mother Nature of Sulawesi.

Day 4 Pendolo - Poso
After breakfast a boat leaves to cross the lake to Tentena. Upon arrival in Tentena a visit will be made to a waterfall with twelve steps, known as Wera Salopa. The day ends in Poso.

Day 5 Poso - Ampana
Early in the morning you will be awakened for a trek to the Katoposa Mountain with an altitude of 2835m. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and feel the unique energy. Arrived at the foot of the mountain Katoposa you can discover the environment. After a visit to the mountain Katoposa, the journey continues to Ampana.

Day 5 Ampana - Togian Island
At the break of dawn a visit is brought to Tanjung Api. Tanjung Api Nature Reserve is a small park in the northeast of Ampana. Meet the animals and feel the love that they will offer. Then a boat sails to Togian Island in the afternoon.

Day 6 Togian Island
The Togian islands are located in the Teluk Tomini. Here the sea gypsies live in wooden houses on stilts on dead coral. On Togian islands you can get away from the civilized world. Everywhere you will find white sand beaches, surrounded by green, impenetrable jungle. Togian Islands are known worldwide through the amazing underwater world. Find colourful fish and beautiful corals. Pulau Kadidiri is the most popular of the Togian islands. It is surrounded by crystal clear water. Enjoy the sun, sea and sand, or dive to discover the beautiful underwater world. Night diving is a wonderful experience and should not be missed during your stay at the breath taking Togian islands.

Day 7 Togian Island
In the early morning you will travel by boat to the mainland. You will then be transferred to the airport for your next destination. End of your wonderful journey. Price starting from € 845,- p.p.
