Day 1 Maumere
After arrival in Maumere, you will have the opportunity to visit the holy Mary statue. This is located on the mountain Nilo, with a breath taking view over the city Maumere. Then the journey goes to the village Wuring, where the houses are built over the water. Finally the village Sikka is visited where the Old Portuguese church is located. At the end of the day, you can rest on the beach overlooking the island 'Babi'.
Day 2 Maumere - Moni
Today a visit is made to Mount Kelimutu, which is magical because of the 3 craters with colours that are constantly changing. Centuries ago, the population believed that the spirits of the village live in the mountains and are protected by the holy mother 'Ratu Konde'. After this impressive experience the journey goes on to the villages Nggela and Detusoko, which are very famous for their traditional Ikat fabrics. The final destination of today is Moni.
Kelimutu is a volcano near the town of Moni in central Flores. The volcano has three crater lakes, each with its own colour. Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Old People Lake) is usually blue and is the westernmost lake. The other two lakes, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of boys and girls) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake) are separated by a shared crater wall and are mostly respectively green or red. |

Day 3 Moni - Riung
After breakfast there is an opportunity to briefly explore Moni. Then, the journey continues to Ende, where a short stop will be made to visit the old home of the first President of Indonesia. Followed with an introduction to the special Pancasilla tree with only 5 branches. Finally, a visit is made to Nuobosi for a spectacular panorama and to Penggajawa where the light green stones are located. In the afternoon Riung reached.
Day 4 Riung
Leisure day. Sunbathe on the beach or visit one of the 17 surrounding islands (optional). These unique islands, all have beautiful white beaches and various species of flora and fauna.
Day 5 Riung - Bajawa
At dawn after breakfast the road heads for Riung Bajawa. Along the way, a visit is made to the village Soa with the opportunity to relax and bathe in the medicinal hot springs. Followed by a visit to the cave where the paleoanthropologists (Hobbits) are discovered.

The Flores Man is an extinct human species discovered in 2003, which is believed he was still alive at the time of modern humans, Homo sapiens, about 18,000 years ago. Day 6 Bajawa - Ruteng
In the morning you will visit the impressive village of Bena. Here you will find the traditional houses with Alang Alang roofs. Then there is an opportunity to taste the traditional drink Arak (palm wine) in the village Aimere. After the tasting, the journey continues through Ranamase-lake to Ruteng for overnight.
Day 7 Ruteng - Wea Rebo
Today the journey goes on to the Manggarai area, one of the most fertile parts of Flores. There are still a number of round rice fields that are classified according to ancient traditions. From above they look like giant cobwebs. Then a challenging trek to Wea Rebo follows to a village hidden in the mountains, with four very special traditional houses that are hidden behind a few hills, which despite of all modern influences still remain. You will sleep in peace and harmony in the characteristic village. The welcoming is heart-warming and you will be treated here as guest of honour.

Day 8 Wea Rebo - Wea Liang
By the wake of the sunrise the journey carries on to the south coast of Flores, where a spectacular trip awaits. A deep journey through the Manggarai area, a population that lives in West Flores and has its own culture (adat) and language. After arrival in Wea Liang, peaceful walks around the village will be made. Enjoy the beautiful nature and the harmony Wea Liang offers.
Day 9 Wea Liang - Labuan Bajo
In the early morning you will go to the coast of Labuan Bajo. Along the way a stop will be made to visit Goa Batu Cermin, "the Mirror Cave'. This unique cave is surrounded by beautiful bamboo plantations and has impressive rock structures on the inside.
Batu Cermin, is actually a tunnel or cave in dark stone hills of Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Sunlight is coming through a hole in the tunnel and bounces on the stone walls, they reflect smaller radii to other areas in the cave as a mirror. That is why this cave is called the mirror cave. |

Day 10 Labuan Bajo - Rica
At daybreak you sail to Rinca Island where to experience the Komodo dragons face to face. Upon arrival at Rinca, a trekking is made around the island. Enjoy the beautiful panorama, because at the end of the day you sail back to Labuan Bajo to leave for your next destination.
