Day 1 Denpasar
On day one you will Arrive in Denpasar. Here you will be introduced to the Balinese culture. In this beautiful place you can relax and recover from your long journey. However you shouldn’t miss watching the sunset from the Uluwatu temple. This is one of the “Sad Kahyangan” or 6 main temples according to the script of “Raja Purana Besakih”. After watching the sun go down you can finish your day by dining at Jimbaran beach which has a magnificent view of Jimbaran bay.
Day 2 Denpasar - Ubud
On day two you will travel to Ubud. You will stop at a temple named “Tirta Empul Tampak Siring”. Washing your face and head in the sacred waters of this temple will feel like a renewing of your soul and will give you room for new experiences during your trip. Once you have arrived at Ubud, you will meet the elephants in Bali. For tourists a ride may be enough but if you are open to the power and energy of the king of nature, you will ride on the back of the elephant differently. At the end of the day you can visit the town of Ubud itself which is well known for its artistic skills in the form of paintings, carvings and gold and silver work. Embrace what the artist is trying to say with the artwork. Remember that art in Bali is unique and often based on intuition, emotion and feeling.
Day 3 Ubud - Padangbai
After breakfast you will visit Gosa Kerta in Kelungkung,
you will find a beautiful traditional meeting room which is full of Kamasan paintings. Admire the harmony and relationship between God (or the universe) and the human imagination. Gosa Kerta is a meeting place for the ancient kings of various kingdoms that Bali had. You will also visit the temple Andakasa, a temple in village Antiga high in the mountains, the views from the village are breath taking. Afterwards you will visit the Temple of Goa Lawah which is famous for the bats that live there. At the end of the day you will arrive at Silayuktie temple, it is on a cliff which
overlooks the beautiful Pandangbai beach.
Day 4 Padangbai - Nusa Penida
Early in the morning you will start your day with a small boat trip to the island of Nusa Penida. Although it is only a short distance from Bali, this place has a totally different energy. Discover Giri Putri cave with its stunning valleys and the Pura dalem Ped with magical impressions.
Day 5 Padangbai - Karangasem
After breakfast you will head towards Karangasem and visit the village of Tenganan, one of the oldest villages in Bali. After this you will travel to Candi Dasa temple, don’t forget to take your time to enjoy the peace and to feel the energies on the way there. Opposite the Candi Dasa temple there is a beautiful lagoon. This place is known as a crossroads of energy lines and the longer you stay here the more you will feel that it is not just a place. If you walk a bit further up a hill you will find a very special place, Pura Gumang. The road is in reasonable condition but walking boots and a stick or sturdy branch will certainly help you climb the hill. At the end of the hike you will reach a fabulous temple. Around sunset the temple gets taken over by a group of monkeys. Feel the Ying - Yang energy and the power of trees in this place. After the strenuous hike, you will go to the water palace, Tirta Gangga which has a very calm atmosphere and strangely enough you will gain momentum again.
Day 6 Karangasem - Kintamani
Today you will be around Mother Nature. You will visit the
mother temple of Bali that is built on one of most powerful places in Bali. It is also a popular tourist destination. When you arrive at the temple, do your best to ignore the hoards of people and try and get a feel for the beautiful place. After this impressive experience you will continue to Batur where you will take the boat to the village Trunyan. The culture is impressive and remarkable.
A good example of this is that deceased people of their culture will be buried under the Cendana tree and thus returned to nature. You can have a lovely stroll around the
village and spend the night by the lake in Batur.
Day 7 Kintamani - Singaraja
Early in the morning, you get another opportunity to walk around the lake at the foot of Batur and getting up at sunrise will be rewarded by the magnificent views. Afterwards you will head towards Singaraja, the former capital. En route, visit Batu Pondjok temple. There are bright sources present in the sea ahead and the washing or drinking of it is cleansing. Then the journey continues to Meduwe Karang temple Kubutambahan. The temple is dedicated to Batara Meduwe Karang (Mother Nature) and provides divine protection of crops and fertile soil. At the entrance there are three rows of images of Ramayana. The temple is walled and decorated with columns. There are two split gates and several pavilions. The main altar is at the top. Somewhere on the side of the temple there is and image of a cyclist, perhaps it is the Dutch artist Woj Nieuwenkamp who explored Bali by bicycle in 1904.
Day 8 Singaraja - Canggu
Early in the morning go on a traditional boat trip to admire the dolphins of Lovina. The bond between man and dolphin is a special one and often dolphins are used therapeutic reasons.
If you get up early, you will get the chance of meeting them. Go with empty thoughts to sea and try to experience the special energy that dolphins possess. After this trip you will visit the Gitgit twin waterfalls. It is a spectacular hike and you can take a bath under the mighty waterfall. After lunch at Lake Beratan you will have the opportunity to buy various herbs on the herbal market Bedugul. For example, there are vanilla beans that you can put under your pillow to encourage sleep. There are also various kinds of incense to encourage meditation. At the end of the day you reach the famous Tanah Lot temple, where you can go to enjoy an impressive sunset.
Day 9 Canggu
End of this spiritual journey. You will be picked for your next destination. You will have seen and felt Bali and the Gods of Bali will be forever in your hearts.
