Nias Islands
Located west of the island of Sumatra in the Indian Ocean are a chain of islands, running alongside Sumatra but separated from the mainland by a deep trench. The island of Nias with rugged terrain, fiercely independent people and a distinct hierarchical culture, is a unique destination having remained largely resistant to outside influences for centuries.

This is an ancient land. While no one knows exactly how long people have lived on the island, according to Nias legend life originated at the Gomo River where six gods descended and began the human race. This is why Nias people call themselves ‘Ono Niha’ or children of the people. From Central Nias people moved North and South developing distinctive languages, customs and art in each region.

Day 3 Nias Teluk Dalam
The morning at the magical island starts with a journey to Bawamataluo ' the sung hill village’ to observe the king's house. This is a UNESCO cultural village. Every year a traditional event takes place to keep the origin of their traditions alive. An example of such a tradition is the so called Lombat Batu-Fahombo, which means stone jumping. It is a phenomenon where local young men jump over stone walls which are up to two meters high. Also here you can find megaliths which residents still use for traditional ceremonies. These giant stones record the cultural history of how the predecessors of Nias behaved, entailing noble values and local wisdom. Then a visit is made to Orahili which is built on a hill and can only be reached by a small pathway. This pathway leads to stunning views passing various hills. The journey will also bring a visit the Botohilitano and Hiliamaetaniha village. Enjoy this day by exploring the Teluk Dalam part of Nias which is rich of valuable energies.

Day 4 Nias Sorake Beach
After breakfast the road heads to Sorake Beach with a short stop at a traditional Tumori village in the northern part of Nias. This is one of the many beaches that can be found at Nias islands.
